Time: 10.30am-12.30pm

Location: Misan Midlands, Redditch B98 9HE

This 2 hour work shop will introduce you to hand sewing leather also known as saddle stitching. We stock a huge selection of beautiful Italian hides sourced from the top tanneries in Italy

Saddle stitching is a traditional hand-sewing technique used to join leather pieces with exceptional strength and durability: two needles are passed through each hole from opposite sides, creating a locked stitch that resists unravelling even if a single thread breaks. It produces a clean, symmetrical row of stitches visible on both sides of the seam, and allows precise tension control for a flat, professional finish. Commonly done with waxed linen or polyester thread and a pricking iron or chisel to mark holes, saddle stitching is favoured in high-quality leather goods for its longevity and aesthetic appeal.

Booking essential as spaces are limited.

You will have the opportunity to practice your new saddle stitching skills to create a small but beautiful Italian leather purse with a fastening

The cost of the workshop includes tuition, a choice from a selection of leather as well as a hot drink and biscuit

The shop will be open as normal whilst this workshop is running

Work shop In partnership with Remade Worcester, check them out on Facebook and Instagram

Workshops are non refundable or transferable once booked
